Young couple's first apartment — limited ceiling budget but wanted a polished, modern look. Standard builder ceiling was uneven with visible electrical conduits.
Installed flat gypsum board ceiling across the full apartment, concealing all conduits. Added a simple perimeter cove in the living room only for LED strip lighting. Kept bedroom ceilings flat with recessed downlights — maximum impact within the basic package scope.
The apartment looks significantly more finished and premium than neighbouring units in the same complex. The living room cove lighting creates a focal point, and the rest of the home benefits from clean, even ceilings hiding all exposed wiring.
