POP ceiling with recessed chandelier housing — duplex villa

Challenge

Double-height foyer in a duplex villa needed a POP ceiling that could support a heavy chandelier (25kg) and create an architectural focal point visible from the ground floor and the upper landing.

Solution

Engineered a reinforced GI framework specifically for the chandelier load point, with additional bracing anchored to the structural slab. Designed a multi-ring POP ceiling detail around the chandelier recess with layered cove lighting.

Outcome

The double-height foyer became the centrepiece of the villa. The chandelier hangs securely from the reinforced POP structure, and the layered rings with lighting create a dramatic visual from both floors.
