A Yelahanka villa's open-plan ground floor lacked any visual division between the living area and a reading nook. Without an architectural ceiling element, the nook felt like an arbitrary furniture arrangement rather than a defined space.
Installed solid teak baffles over the reading nook zone only, extending from wall to wall at a 2,800mm drop on a powder-coated black frame. The baffles create a visual canopy that defines the nook from above, working with the furniture arrangement to establish a genuinely separate zone without walls.
The reading nook now reads as a considered room within a room. The teak baffles overhead give the space an intimate quality that the owner says makes it their favourite spot in the house.
