A villa in Yelahanka had a large external porch with a raw concrete soffit that continued to show staining and damp patches from water tracking behind the soffit slab despite repeated repainting.
Suspended a moisture-resistant aluminium linear ceiling below the existing soffit, with a 50mm gap between the panels and the concrete that allows any water to dissipate without contacting the ceiling surface. The aluminium is powder-coated in a warm white that complements the villa's exterior palette.
The porch ceiling has maintained its appearance through a full monsoon season with no staining, no damp patches, and no maintenance. The villa now photographs significantly better from the exterior and the client describes the porch as a genuinely usable outdoor room.
