A Hebbal villa's double-height living room had an exposed concrete slab ceiling that felt cold and created echo. The client wanted natural wood warmth but was concerned about suspending heavy timber panels from height.
Selected kiln-dried teak planks — lighter than solid timber but genuine in grain — fixed to a custom GI frame anchored at five structural slab points. Each plank was pre-treated with anti-termite sealant before installation, and lighting channels were routed through gaps between plank rows.
The living room now has the warmth of a premium resort interior. The teak grain catches ambient light beautifully, the echo is completely resolved, and the client described it as the element that finally made the house feel like home.
