A multi-sport facility in Yelahanka needed to expand its changing block by creating additional toilet cubicle partitions for a new women's section. Daily disinfectant cleaning cycles made material selection critical for long-term durability.
Used 9mm fibre cement boards throughout the new toilet partition layout, with waterproof tile adhesive applied before tiling on partition faces. All board edges and junctions were sealed with sanitary silicone. GI studs were selected over timber to prevent any moisture absorption in the framework.
The completed cubicle partitions have been in service through one full monsoon season without any board swelling, delamination, or moisture ingress. The cement board partitions outperform the older plywood cubicles in the adjacent men's section.
