A manufacturing unit in Jigani needed a semi-permanent boundary wall within their production floor to separate a clean zone from general manufacturing, while complying with fire safety separation requirements.
Constructed a full-height fibre cement board partition on a structural GI stud framework bolted to both floor and structural column to handle production floor vibration loads. All boards were installed with fire-rated joints and sealant at penetrations.
The clean zone separation has been operational for 18 months without structural issues. The boundary wall meets the fire separation requirement confirmed by the factory's fire safety officer. Vibration from the production environment has not caused any cracking.
