A Sarjapur Road villa's covered sit-out had no ceiling, leaving exposed roof structure visible from below and making the space hot during afternoons. The client wanted a wood finish but knew real timber would not survive the partially open environment.
WPC boards in a natural teak finish were fixed to an aluminium framework suspended below the roof structure. Stainless steel fasteners were used throughout to prevent rust from monsoon moisture, and no painting or sealing was required after installation.
The sit-out is now a regularly used outdoor living space rather than a transitional area. The WPC ceiling has maintained its finish through two full monsoon seasons with no warping, peeling, or discoloration.
